Elijah James Cotney

Born January 18, 2017, Elijah James Cotney entered heavenly rest on March 30, 2017. He brought great joy to all he encountered. He is survived by his parents Cody James and Heather Olsen Cotney; a sister, Zoe; paternal grandparents, Mark A. Cotney of Prosperity and Tonya Van Horn of Wichita, Kansas; maternal grand parents, Philip Robert Olsen, Jr. and Melissa Olsen of Prosperity; maternal great-grandparents, Fred and Michele Martel of Michigan; paternal great-grand father, James Wako Cotney of Newberry; maternal great-grandmother, Janet Shull of Wichita, Kansas; four aunts, Cali Lee Van Horn and Cameryn Cotney of Wichita, Kansas, Tiffany Cotney of Prosperity, and Marina Olsen of Leesville; and numerous other cousins, great aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by his paternal great-grandmother, Frances Kleckley Cotney.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday, April 3, 2017 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wako Cotney. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.
