Mary Elise Fuller Summer, 93, of Newberry, widow of Charlie Beaman “Bemo” Summer, Sr., died Friday, December 17, 2021, at White Oak Manor.
Born on February 11, 1928, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Berley and Zula Stribble Fuller. She worked at several places of the years finishing up at Damon International. She was a member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church where she was a Golden Ager and a member of the Morning Circle and the Joy Fellowship. She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years.
Mrs. Summer is survived by a daughter, Dianne (Ronny) Bannister of Newberry; a son, Charlie Beaman Summer, Jr. of Newberry; a sister, Lavenia “Punk” Beck of Newberry; grandchildren, Chris (Terri) Brooks, Jodi (Benji) Sease, Trey (Lori) Summer and Jamie Summer; great-grandchildren, Dylan Sease, Kadence Sease, Gaines Sease, Emmie Elise Summer, Lindsey Waldrop and Madison Reppart. She was predeceased by a sisters, Martha Humphries, Margie Cannon, Woody Bedenbaugh and Bobbie Long; brothers, George Fuller, Kenneth Fuller and P.K. Fuller and a great-grandson, Peyton Reppart.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at St. Philip's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Terry Amick. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Philip's Lutheran Church Improvement Fund, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
Family and friends are invited to view and register for Mrs. Summer on Monday between 11:00 am – 5:00 pm and Tuesday from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank At Home Senior Care especially Samantha Harris, the staff of White Oak Manor and MSA Hospice for their love and care.
