Elizabeth Dickert

Elizabeth Buzhardt Dickert, 82, of Columbia, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Heartland of Lexington.

Born on August 15, 1930, in Newberry, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Eugene and Annie Vaughn Buzhardt. She was retired from Shakespeare of Columbia after 30 years and was a member of Crescent Hill Baptist Church where she was active in many of the senior groups of the church.

Ms. Dickert is survived by daughters, Donna L. Richardson of Newberry and Alice E. Lathrop of Lexington; a granddaughter, Bethany (Mitch) Fulmer of Irmo; a great-grandson, Andrew Fulmer and granddogs, Scooter and Chloe.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2013, at Crescent Hill Baptist Church in Columbia. Graveside services will follow in Rosemont Cemetery in Newberry at 4:00 pm. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Jack Hamm, Roy Stribble, Robert Dowd, Sr., Pete Simpson and Bill McRoberts.
