Elizabeth Morris

Elizabeth Shealy Morris, 81, of Prosperity died Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born in Prosperity on August 10, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Bennie P. and Lillie Mae Shealy Derrick. She retired from Bi-Lo in Newberry where she loved working and serving the customers. She enjoyed reading books and doing crossword puzzles. Here favorite thing to do however, was spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Donnie (Jill) Shealy, Karen Tillotson, Frankie (Cathy) Shealy, and Kerry (Sherrie) Shealy; a sister, Gussie (John) Buchanan; a brother, James (Nancy) Derrick; grandchildren, Ashley Swygert, Michael Murphy, Brittany Farrington, Amber Shealy, Stephanie Shealy, Eric Shealy, Brandon Shealy, and Crystal Shealy; 15 great-grandchildren; and a dear friend, Sherry Dominick. She was predeceased by her husbands, Donald Ray Shealy, Sr. and Steve Allen Morris; a brother, Bill Derrick; and a sister, Gladys Black.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, September 19, 2020 in Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Jimmy Counts. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 7:30 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family will be at the home of her granddaughter, Ashley Swygert,1100 Timberwood Trail, Newberry, SC 29108

Active pall bearers will be John Derrick, Paul Derrick, Ronnie Derrick, Allen Derrick, Earl Longshore, and Bob Longshore.
