Ethel Merle Peters Queener, 93, of Silverstreet, died Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at White Oak Manor.

Born on November 30, 1917, in Neosho, MO, she was a daughter of the late George Washington Thomas Peters and Evelyn Horton Peters. She was a retired seamstress and a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Neohso, MO.

Mrs. Queener is survived by a daughter, Patricia Joan Queener Malcom of Silverstreet; six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James Richard Queener, a son-in-law, Jack Malcom, a granddaughter, Sharon Queener, a grandson-in-law, Mike Davis and thirteen siblings.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 11, 2011, at Newberry Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Dr. Robert McCollum.

Active pallbearers: Eddie Malcom, Harry Malcom, Cory Malcom, J.C. Waldrop, Justin Waldrop and Adam Crouch
