Eula Mae Taylor, 93, of Newberry, widow of William “Bill” Taylor, died Wednesday, July 1, 2015, at her residence.
Born on January 28, 1922, in Metter, GA, she was a daughter of the late A.V. And Cassie Lanier Holloway. Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of the Georgia Southern Teachers College. She taught school for many years and retired from Newberry County Memorial Hospital. She was a member of Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Millie Hamby Sunday School Class. Mrs. Taylor was a longtime member of the Northside Stripper Quilting Club and an avid golfer.
She is survived by daughters, Ellen (Marvin) Calloway of Prosperity and Dianne (Dan) Bradley of Waterloo; sisters, Pauline Olliff of Metter, GA and Minnie Lee Bishop of Jackson; grandchildren, Brian Calloway, Laura Maston, Joe Bradley and Valerie Dantzler and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Lonnie Holloway.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, July 3, 2015, at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jimmy Counts and Rev. Dan Bradley. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 1:45 pm Friday at the church. Memorials may be made to Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, 1105 First Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Millie Hamby Sunday School Class.
