Eula Rae Stribble

Eula Rae Stribble, 98, of Newberry, widow of Walter Stribble, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at her residence.

Born on June 11, 1912, in Pomaria, she was a daughter of the late Sanky and Lou Emma Davenport Fulmer. Mrs. Stribble was retired from Damon International and an active member of the RSVP for 25 years. She was the oldest member of Summer Memorial Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son, Roy (Barbara) Stribble of Newberry; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and four step-grandchildren. Mrs. Stribble was predeceased by a daughter, Allene Monroe.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Stephen Mims and Rev. Kathy Harris. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Palmetto Hospice, 1400 Camellia Avenue, Newberry, SC 29108.
