Everette R. “Pete” Shealy, 73, of Little Mountain, died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Born on March 31, 1944, in Newberry, he was a son of the late Raymond E. and Ruby Ringer Shealy. He was the founder of Shealy Plumbing from which he retired and had served in the S.C. National Guard. Mr. Shealy was a lifelong member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and had previously been a member of the Little Mountain Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Huffstetler Shealy; a son, Kevin (Miranda) Shealy of Little Mountain; a daughter, Sherrie (Odell) Fulmer of Pomaria; sisters, Sylvia Shealy and Jonell Shealy both of Chapin; grandchildren, Patrick Fulmer and fiancee, Marina Miller, Will Fulmer and Gracen and Grant Shealy.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brett Collins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:30 – 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Building Fund, PO Box 186, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or the Little Mountain Fire & Rescue, 219 N. Boundary Street, Little Mountain, SC 29075.
Active pallbearers will be Patrick Fulmer, Will Fulmer, Barron Meetze, Mike Huffstetler, Jeremy Lindler, Paul Shealy, Steve Meetze and Randy Lever.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dial Long, Glenn Long, Keith Anderson, Doug Rish, Billy Rish, Phil Martinez, Ansel Stuck, Billy Caldwell, O'Neal Bickley and Larry Seypt.
