Faye E. Turner

Faye Garrett Seibert Turner, 87, of Newberry, died Saturday, August 6, 2011, at White Oak Manor.

Born on January 15, 1924, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Sparta Nichols Garrett. Mrs. Turner was retired from Damon International and a member of Cannon’s Creek Prosperity A.R.P. Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Bickley of Newberry; a step-daughter, Linda Turner of Fayetteville; a sister, Betty (Ollie) Dominick of Prosperity; a brother, Vernon (Peggy) Garrett of Newberry; grandchildren, Lynn Bickley and Jane Bickley; step-grandchildren, Larry Wayne Turner and Jean Turner and step-great-grandchildren, Jonah and Evan Turner.

Mrs. Turner was twice married, first to the late Ellerbe Seibert and secondly, to the late George “Skinny” Turner. She was also predeceased by a son, Randy Seibert, step-son and his wife, Wayne and Julia Turner, son-in-law, Robert “Bud” Bickley, step-son-in-law, Tommy Turner, sisters, Lois Rawl, Zilla Inman, Sara Fite and Pearl Garrett, brothers, George Garrett, Robert Garrett and John Garrett

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2011, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. Gary Pierstorff. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cannon’s Creek Prosperity A.R.P. Church, 14417 C.R. Koon Highway, Newberry, SC 29108.
