Floyd Morris

Floyd Elbert Morris, 76, of Prosperity, died Monday, November 16, 2015, at his residence.

Born on October 24, 1939, in Prosperity, he was a son of Louise Williams Morris and the late Elbert Morris. He was retired from Louis Rich and was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Mr. Morris was a Shriner and a Mason and an avid Gamecock fan. He loved his entire family and truly cherished his relationship with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ponzell Minick Morris; his mother, Louise Morris of Prosperity; sons, Kendell Morris and Benji (Tara) Morris both of Prosperity; a brother, Larry A. (Thelma) Morris of Prosperity and grandchildren, Ben and Anna Grace Morris.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at St. Luke's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Jason Schafer and Rev. Bobby Morris. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 4056 St. Luke's Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Justin Morris, Donnie Hawkins, Jimmy Minick, Wade Morris, Tony Bickley and Corey Bedenbaugh.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Cracker Club, Dr. Oscar Lovelace and staff, Carroll and Joyce Lester, Patsy and Calvin Morris, James Earl Morris and Tony and Martha Turner.
