Frances Bostic

Mary Frances Lee Bostic, 88, of Newberry, died Friday, December 2, 2016, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 17, 1928, in Whitmire, she was the daughter of the late Butler and Susie McGathey Lee. She was retired from American Fiber and Finishing – Oakland Plant and was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Bostic was known for being an excellent seamstress.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, H. Waymon Bostic; sons, Michael W. (Sandra) Bostic of Laurens and Randall S. Bostic of Signal Hill, CA; a granddaughter, Kimberly (John) Brock of Simpsonville; great-grandchildren, Tyler Shipman and Garrett Shipman and a faithful niece, Linda Keller. She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Rebecca Riley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, December 5, 2016, at Glenn Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Michael Whitesides. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Tri County Hospice, 180 Commerce Drive, Newberry, SC 29108 or Glenn Street Baptist Church, 300 Glenn Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Danny Moss, Jimmy Moss, Jerry Moss, Larry Moss, Jackie Lee and Robert Earl Lipford.

Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Glenn Street Baptist Church, members of the Reapers Sunday School Class and the Fisher's of Men Sunday School Class.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Julie Underwood and Bonnie Teddars for their special care.
