Mrs. Frances Keisler Harmon, 94, of Pomaria, widow of her husband of 62 years, Thomas A. Harmon, died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at White Oak Manor.

Born in Lexington County, she was a daughter of the late Henry W. and Mary Wessinger Keisler. She was a 1941 graduate of Newberry College and was a retired school teacher,having taught in Georgia and South Carolina for 35 years, with the last 24 years being at Chapin Elementary School. She was a faithful member of St. Philip's Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Adult B Sunday School Class, the W.E.L.C.A., the Joy Fellowship, a former Sunday School teacher, a former youth adviser. She was also a member of the Woodman of the World Lodge 1054.

Mrs. Harmon is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Harry and Lunelle Ruff Harmon of Newberry; a brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Evelyn Roof Keisler of Lexington; two grandchildren, Christi H. Vinson and her husband Benjie and Benjie Harmon and his fiance', Clair Alewine; and two great-grandchildren, Harmon Benjamin Vinson and Carter Elizabeth Vinson; and a devoted caregiver, Patricia Coleman. She was predeceased by 2 sisters and a brother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. Philip's Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. The family suggests that those desiring may make memorials to St. Philip's Lutheran Church Family Life Center, 2461 St. Philip's Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Vincent Branham, Edward Branham, Thomas L. Crooks, James R. Keisler, Jr., Rick Jordan, Gerald Keisler, David Lominick and Dean Lominick.

Honorary pall bearers will be members of the Adult B. Sunday School Class and the staff White Oak Manor.
