Frances M. Bartley

Frances McEntire Bartley, 95 of Newberry, widow of Robert Edward Bartley, died December 13, 2017 at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born in Little Mountain, she was a daughter of the late Johnny Norris and Florence Boland McEntire. Mrs. Bartley was the retired owner and operator of Frances' Beauty Shop. She was a member of Epting Memorial United Methodist Church where she was a member of the church choir for 70 years. She was a former member of the R.S.V.P. Volunteer Singers and a former hospice volunteer.

She is survived by sons, Benny Bartley of New York, NY, Robert Bartley (Wanda) of Prosperity, Mac Bartley (Cindy) of Newberry and Tee Bartley of Newberry; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Epting Memorial United Methodist Church by the Rev. William Hightower and the Rev. Jeff O'Dell. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The casket will be placed in the church one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to Epting Memorial United Methodist Church, 1401 Milligan Street, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy McEntire, Allen McEntire, Bobby Waters, Brad Waters, Keith Bartley, Jeff Bartley, Bart Merchant and Mike Brehmer.
