Francis R. “Cisco” Watts, Sr. 68, of Prosperity died September 26, 2009 at the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
Born in Prosperity on February 26, 1941, he was a son of the late W.L. and Nellie Lee Moss Watts. He was a former Truck Driver and retired from Georgia Pacific Chip and Saw and was a member of Glenn Street Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved football, his animals, and NASCAR.
He is survived by his wife, Jeroline Thomas Watts; a son, Francis R. “Randy” Watts, Jr. of Prosperity, a daughter, Kathy Dawn Williams and husband Scott of Prosperity; a sister, Margaret W. Kibler and husband Rufus of Newberry, 3 grandchildren, Clauthia Davis, Scotrell Praylow, and Shavivkie Praylow, 6 great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, Luann Gross, a special friend, James A. “Jimmy” Smith, and special lap companions, Midget, Bit Bit, and Coa Coa.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Tuesday, September 29, 2009, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 until 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. The family is at the home of hisdaughter, Kathy Williams, 1245 Counts Sausage Road, Prosperity.
