Roy Frank Alexander, 34, of Prosperity, died Thursday, January 19, 2012.
Born on October 4, 1977, in Columbia, he was a son of Roy Edward Alexander and Rebekah Cook Alexander. He was an Army veteran who served in the United Nations Honor Guard and was the youngest land navigation instructor ever chosen to teach West Point cadets at Ft. Drum, New York. He was a plumber.
He is survived by his mother of Prosperity and his father of Columbia; step-mother, Vicki Alexander; a brother, Wayne Alexander of Prosperity; paternal grandparents, Martin and Betty Alexander of Ocala, FL; fiancee, Michele Holbrook of Newberry.
Family and friends are invited for a time of sharing on Sunday, January 22, 2012, from 4:00 – 6:00 pm at the home of his mother at 1885 Candy Kitchen Road, Prosperity. Memorials may be made to the Alston Wilkes Society, 3519 Medical Drive, Columbia, SC 29203 – noted for Veterans Home only in memoriam for Frank Alexander.
