Fredna Dominick

Fredna Cook Dominick, 73, of Prosperity, died Thursday, February 20, 2014, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 25, 1940, in Prosperity, she was a daughter of the late Fred Moore and Louise Counts Cook. She was a 1958 graduate of Prosperity High School, was a faithful member of Zion United Methodist Church and a member of the Republican Party. Mrs. Dominick was retired from the Newberry County Election Commission with 25 years of service.

She is survived by her husband, Claude Lake Dominick; a son, Wayde (Sally) Dominick of Chapin; a daughter, Pam (Jeff) Bartley of Prosperity; grandchildren, Cody (Jessica) Dominick of Columbia, Tim Dominick and Caroline Dominick both of Chapin and Erica Bartley of Cullowhee, NC; a sister, Judy C. Livingston of Prosperity; a brother, James “Jimmy” Cook of Prosperity;; sisters-in-law, Agatha Cook and Sandra Cook both of Prosperity. She was predeceased by brothers, Drayton Moore Cook and Jacob Counts Cook.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, February 22, 2014, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00- 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made Zion United Methodist Church, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Jamie Cook, Cody Dominick, Tim Dominick, Arthur Guy, Scott Livingston and Stanley Livingston.
