G. Frank West

G. Frank West, 84, of Prosperity, died Monday, February 5, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on September 9, 1933, in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Jessie Andrew and Grace Wright West. He was a US Navy Veteran and had an associate degree from North Greenville College. He retired from Wellington Synthetics and was a member of Victor Baptist Church in Greer. Mr. West loved the lake where he enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing. He also enjoyed reading.

Mr. West is survived by his wife, Nancy Lindsey West; a son, Steven Franklin (Debra) West of Boiling Springs; daughters, Terest West (Darrell) Whittaker of Taylors and Sandra West (Morris) Head of Anderson; a sister, Eleanor W. (James) Hipp of Anderson; grandchildren, Kimberly West (Joshua) Blackwell, Rebecca West (Jeremy) Nix, John (Cannon) Whittaker and Anna Whittaker and Lindsey Head; great-grandchildren, Harmony Nix, Benjamin Nix, Daniel Nix, Connor Blackwell and Adly Whittaker. He was predeceased by siblings, Bobbie Sue West Campbell, Betty Joe West Hipp, and Carl Andrew West and a sister-in-law, Bobbie West.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 9, 2018, at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Greer by the Pastor Wyatt Brown. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
