Gary Gross

Gary Wayne Gross, 53, of Newberry died Monday, January 5, 2009 at his residence.

Born on July 18, 1955 in Richlands, VA, he was a son of Nola Sharp Gross and the late Andy Gross, Jr. He was a former employee of Georgia-Pacific and served in the United States Navy. He was also a Trustee of the Newberry Moose Lodge.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Luann Longshore Gross; sons, Kevin Wayne Gross and Garrett Seth Gross of the home; sisters, Barbara Johnson and husband Gene of Whitmire, and Shirley Arnold of Blufield, WV; brothers, Billy Arnold and wife Renee of Whitmire, Jerry Wayne Gross of Leesville, and Andy Gross III and wife Susan of Barbersville, VA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Beverly Arnold Brown.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Wayne Tobias. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Tuesday from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Newberry Moose Lodge.
