George Paul Corley

George Paul Corley, 78, of Prosperity, died Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on July 27, 1943, in Newberry, he was a son of the late George Lester and Mary Miller Corley.  He was a retired truck driver and a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

Mr. Corley is survived by his wife, Linda Boozer Corley; a grandson, Michael Wise of Prosperity; a great-granddaughter, Ava Howard; a son-in-law, Thomas Wise of Newberry; a sister, Louise C. Frick of Newberry; and a brother, Richard Carroll Corley of Prosperity.  He was predeceased by a son, George Lester Corley, a daughter, Debra Lynn Corley Wise, a granddaughter, Raven Wise and a sister, Margie Walters.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, April 23, 2022, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home by the Rev. R.T.  Bowling and the Rev. Jimmy Counts.  Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.  Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Active pallbearers will be Josh Sanders, Matt Wooten, Devar Henderson, Levar Henderson and David Cook.
