George William “Billy” Seybt, Jr., 93, of Pomaria, died Monday, July 23, 2018, at Springfield Place.
Born on March 9, 1925, in Pomaria, he was the son of the late George William Seybt, Sr. and Georgia Sligh Seybt. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and retired from the Fort Jackson Electronics Division. He operated Seybt TV Sales and Services for many years. Mr. Seybt was the oldest male member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lurleen Buzhardt Seybt; a son, Larry William (Marilyn) Seybt of Pomaria; grandchildren, Stephanie (Mark) Osada, Larry William (Brooke) Seybt, Jr., Bryan (Debbie) McGlohorn and Jonathan (Delphine) McGlohorn and great-grandchildren, Blake McGlohorn, Emily McGlohorn, Olivia McGlohorn, Lucas Osada, Eliza Osada, Brady Seybt, Leighton Seybt, Elliott McGlohorn and Margo McGlohorn. He was the last surviving sibling having been predeceased by seven sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2496 SC Highway 773, Pomaria, SC 29126.
