Gladys (Dom) Fulmer Amick, widow of the late J. Carl Amick, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Daughter of the late Lemuel and Rhoda Shealy Fulmer, she was born on September 28, 1918 and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She was a homemaker and loving wife of 64 years, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Together, she and Carl had seven children: Jeannette Hipp Ayers, Harry (Dawn) Amick, Doris (Don) Morris, Helen (J.C.) Amick, Mary (Rodney) Bedenbaugh, Albert (Betty Jo) Amick, and Nellie (Walter) Morris. They had 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Lutheran Church conducted by the Rev. Randy Derrick, the Rev. Dr. Lewis McMullen, and the Rev. Dr. Jeremy Amick. Burial will be in the Macedonia Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 17, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00PM at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home in Newberry. The family is at the home of Rodney and Mary Bedenbaugh, 2500 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to Fairview Fire Dept., 49 Seibert Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pall bearers will be grandsons, Craig Hipp, Mark Hipp, Alan Amick, Bill Morris, Jamie Amick, Charles Smith, David Morris, and Daniel Morris.

Honorary Pall bearers will be members of Macedonia Goldies.

The family would like to thank the staff of White Oak Manor, Dr. Michael Bernardo and staff, and Tri County Hospice for their loving care.
