Glenn Scott

Glenn Gerald Scott, 88, of Pomaria, passed away at his residence.

Born on December 30, 1935 in Maple Grove Township, WI, he was a son of the late Gerald and Eva Hartzell Scott. Glenn and his family moved to southern California at a young age. He drove trucks and worked construction for many years. He lived and worked in several states during his career. After retirement, he and his wife Patricia, moved to South Carolina. He loved the land around his house, because it reminded him so much of the fields and rolling hills of Wisconsin. He worked part time with O'Reilly Auto Parts in Newberry for a number of years. Glenn was an excellent woodworker and loved riding and doing work with his tractor. He was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. 

He is survived by a son and daughter-in law, Jeffery and Kristi Scott of Pomaria; brothers, Marvin Scott, Dennis Scott, and Fred Scott; 4 grandchildren, Derek Scott, Trisha Kreil, Matthew Scott, and Veronica Scott; 5 great-grandchildren, Haylee Sundby, Ashtyn Kreil, Alayna Kreil, Jack Kreil, and Trayce Burwell.

He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Patricia Harthcock Scott; a son, Gary Scott; and brothers, Richard Scott , and Larry Scott.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church by the Rev. Arden Hallman. The family will receive friends following the service. A private committal will be held in the church cemetery.
