Glenn Heyward Shealy, 45, of Little Mountain, died Saturday, May 17, 2014.

Born on June 21, 1968 he was the son of Anne Bedenbaugh Shealy and the late Heyward Glenn Shealy. He was a 1986 graduate of Mid Carolina High School where he was a member of the 1985 State Championship football team. He graduated in 1990 from Newberry College and was the Regional Environmental Manager for CMC Americas. Mr. Shealy served in the Navy Reserves. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church where he coordinated the church softball team and the building fund golf tournament. He was a member of the Little Mountain Reunion Committee where he was serving as the director of the Little Mountain Road Races. He was an athlete who participated in eighteen triathlons, two of which were iron man distance, participated in numerous road races and ran eight full marathons. He was very active with his children's sports activities over the years helping coach their teams in basketball, baseball and soccer. He recently completed an extensive renovation project on his family's farm house.

Glenn was a devoted and dedicated father, husband and son who was well loved by his community.

He is survived by his mother, Anne B. Shealy; his wife, Megan Donovan Shealy; a son, Jacob Glenn Shealy of the home; daughters, Alaina Noel Shealy and Rachel Donovan Shealy both of the home; sisters, Laurie (Bobby) Chapman of Little Mountain and Wanda (Fred) Andrieni of Atlanta, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church by the the Rev. Brett Collins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Building Fund, PO Box 186, Little Mountain, SC 29075 or to St. Paul Lutheran Church Restoration Fund, c/o First Community Bank, PO Box 417, Newberry, SC 29108.

Active pallbearers will be Fred Andrieni, Bobby Chapman, Robert Chapman, Jay Donovan, Evan Johnson, Alex Sullivan, Matthew Sullivan, and Sean Sullivan.

Honorary pallbearers will be the David Bowers, Ty Fellers, Brent Richardson and Clint Shealy families.
