H. Clyde Miller, 91, of Pomaria, died Saturday, April 14, 2018, at his residence.

Born on June 17, 1926, in Wilbar, NC, he was a son of the late Harrison Columbus and Minnie Brown Miller. He was a World War II Army veteran having served in the 83 rd Infantry Division. Mr. Miller was a retired employee of the V.C. Summer Nuclear Plant. He was a member of First Baptist church where he was in the Fishers of Men Sunday School class and was a former deacon. He was a member of Builders for Christ and had gone on twelve mission trips building churches. Mr. Miller was an avid gardener.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Cox Miller; sons, Steve (Laura) Miller of Pomaria, Wayne  Miller of N. Wilkesboro, NC and Kenny (Jackie) Miller of Canton, GA; daughters, Vicky M. Dover of Pomaria and Pam (David) Bush of Little Mountain; a sister, Wanda (Monty) Montgomery; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 16, 2018, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Albert Allen. Visitation will follow the service. Mr. Clyde is going back home on  Tuesday, April 17, 2018  at 1:00 pm at Scenic Memorial Gardens in Wilkesboro, NC by the Rev. Steve Miller. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1020 Boundary Street, Newberry, SC 29108 or to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675.

Active pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jared Miller, Will Miller, Joshua Miller, Derek Bush, Harrison Miller, and Nathan Handy .

Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fishers of Men Sunday School Class.
