Harvey E. Boland

Harvey Emlon Boland, 74, of Prosperity, widower of Tressie Cromer Boland, died Friday, May 20, 2016 at Lexington Medical Center.

Born on November 19, 1941 in Pomaria, he was the son of the late Leland and Lucille Hentz Boland. He attended the University of South Carolina and was retired from Glassmasters as a development engineer.

Mr. Boland is survived by a son, Scott (Julie) Boland of Prosperity; a daughter, Michelle Wagner of Prosperity; sisters, Diane Drummond of Greenville and Beverly Potter of North Augusta; grandchildren, Amy Nicole Wagner, Brandon Leland Boland and Michael Thomas Wagner and a great-grandson, Aaron Zion Wagner.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.

Active pallbearers will be Bobby Metts, Emlon Metts, Brandon Boland, Michael Wagner, Kevin Sitnik and Gordon Drummond.
