Hazel Hawkins

Hazel Dwight Hawkins, 77, of Prosperity, died April 15, 2016 at his residence.

Born in Prosperity, he was a son of the late Dwight Berley and Geneva Haltiwanger Hawkins. He was the retired owner of Hazel Hawkins Logging. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and a charter member of Mid-Carolina Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Leonia Bumgardner Hawkins; a son, Cale Ashley Hawkins; daughters, Wendy Hawkins Johnson of Irmo, and Dena Hawkins (Bob) Pollard of Newberry; a sister, Jane Hawkins Buzhardt; brothers, Stanley (Zalia) Hawkins of Pomaria, Tony (Debbie) Hawkins of Lexington; grandchildren, Tristyn Richardson, Austin Pollard, and Matthew Pollard.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends following the service. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Building Fund, 4056 St. Luke's Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.
