Heather Marie Barnes

Heather Marie Barnes, 37, of Prosperity, died Friday, August 29, 2014, at her residence.

Born March 7, 1977, in Prosperity, she is survived by her parents, Peggy Dominick Barnes and Tony R. Barnes; a brother, Nathan C. Barnes; sister-in-law, Kristy Stone Barnes; nephew, Ashton Stone Barnes and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as her beloved “Aunt Jan”- Joanne Newman. She was blessed with the companionship of her cocker spaniel, Kakie for 17 years. She was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Harold F. and Dorothy C. Dominick, paternal grandparents, Robert W. and Jean W. Barnes.

Heather was an avid Clemson fan, member of Zion United Methodist Church where she was involved with the Young at Heart which she attended with her Aunt Jan. Heather was a special person who touched so many with her love of life.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, September 2, 2014, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Taylor. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the residence of Mrs. Joanne Newman at 5956 SC Highway 391, Prosperity and will receive friends following the service in the family life center. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127.

Active pallbearers will be Eddie Wicker, Jeff Corley, Jonathan Metts, Jason Barnes, Andrew Beckham, Bradley Wicker, Justin Corley and Jacob Barnes.
