Helen Dubois

Helen Pearl Dubois, 86, of Newberry, widow of Henry Joseph Dubois, died Monday, August 31, 2009 at J. F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on August 4, 1923 in Roanoke Rapids, NC, she was a daughter of the late Wade and Jacqueline Keeter Bullard. She was retired from American Fiber and Finishing and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Mrs. Dubois had a passion for children and animals.

Surviving are her daughters, Katie Cranford of Newberry and Cheryl Richards of Temple, GA; a sister, Iza Mae Kinard of Whitmire; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Betty Kathleen Cranford.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. Hugh Bickley. Memorials may be made to the Newberry County Animal Shelter, 11494 SC Highway 34, Newberry, SC 29108 or Trinity United Methodist Church Youth Fund, 1167 Trinity Church Road, Newberry, SC 29108.
