Helen Ledbetter Harrelson, of Prosperity, beloved wife of the late James Larry Harrelson died March 11, 2015 at her residence.

Born in Marion, N.C., she was one of twelve children born to the late W.E. and Lizzie Murphy Ledbetter. She was employeed by the Aiken Electrical Cooperative for many years. She was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Goldies and served as a volunteer at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are her sons, Jacob (Ethel) Walker, Brad (Sherrie) Harrelson and Steve Harrelson; a daughter, Marlesia Keenan; her dear grandchildren, Dana Walker, Carly (Rusty) McClellan, Brandie (Scot) Thompson, Rachel Harrelson,Judy Keenan, Stephanie Harrelson, and Aaron Harrelson; and great-grandchildren, Charles Blitch and Scarlette Thompson; a brother, Ben (Nancy) Ledbetter; God daughter, Kathy Ledbetter; a dear friend who was like a second daughter, Faye Puckett; and a special sister-in-law, Jackie Kesler; and many dear relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers Robert, Raymond, Clifton, W.J., DibJones, Calvin, and Dorgan; sisters, Mamie, Clyta, and Alda.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Inurnment will follow in the church columbarium. The family will receive friends following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Macedonia Lutheran Church, Family Life Center Fund, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, S.C. 29127.

The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice for their loving care.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Newberry County Memorial Hospital Volunteers and members of Macedonia Lutheran Church Goldies.
