Helen Schumpert

Helen Beatrice Bedenbaugh Schumpert, of Prosperity, widow of John David “J.D.” Schumpert, died Tuesday, October 19, 2010, at Pineville Rehab in Pineville, NC.

Born on September 7, 1927, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Pettus “Birge” and Lola “Eunice” Chapman Bedenbaugh. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Newberry.

Surviving are her granddaughter, Niki Wilson Goodale and her husband, Scott and their children, Anna and Matthew Goodale; her grandson, Michael Wilson II and his wife, Kelly and their children, Wyatt, Ben and Sam Wilson; son-in-law, Michael Wilson, Sr. all of Fort Mill. Mrs. Schumpert was predeceased by her daughter, Diane Schumpert Wilson and her siblings, Elton Bedenbaugh, Marvin Bedenbaugh and Elizabeth “Buncy” Bedenbaugh Smith.
