Henry Lemar Amick, 83, of Prosperity, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017, at Palmetto Health Richland.
Born on May 27, 1933, in Little Mountain, he was a son of the late Henry Clinton and Alberta Lindler Amick. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and was retired from Carolina-Eastman. Mr. Amick was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church. He was a Shriner, Mason and a member of the Lake Murray Retirees Fishing Club.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Amick; a daughter, Sandy Amick Senn of Prosperity; brothers, David Amick of Newberry, George Amick, Harvey Amick and Charles Ray Amick all of Prosperity; grandsons, Andrew Lamar “Drew” Senn and Steven Duncan Senn. Mr. Amick was predeceased by his siblings, Mae Miller, Lucille Dominick, Mildred Longshore and Jake Amick.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Randall Derrick. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
