Herman Nalley

Herman Ray Nalley, 73, of Prosperity, died Monday, September 15, 2014, at his residence.

Born on October 13, 1940, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Edgar Leonard and Lois Murphy Nalley. He was retired after 30 years from AT&T and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Mr. Nalley is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Juanita Lathrop Nalley; a son, Anthony “Tony” (Michelle) Nalley of Chapin; a daughter, Angela (Lane) Filler of Spartanburg; grandchildren, Morgan Rebecca Nalley, Matthew Ray Nalley and Sara Quinn Filler. His family was the light, love and focus of life.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, September 18, 2014, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Brent Nichols. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
