Holly Timothy Kednocker, 71, of Pomaria, died Saturday, August 20, 2016, at Lexington Medical Center.
Born on June 10, 1945, in Anderson, IN, he was the son of the late Bert Jerome and Helen Hotchkiss Kednocker. He was a US Army veteran. He graduated from the University of South Carolina and was retired from the SC State Retirement System as a Senior Advisor. He loved the South Carolina Gamecocks and was the truest definition of a Fighting Gamecock. His most important titles ever held in life were that of devoted husband, loving father and wonderful grandfather. Along with his loving wife Molly, he was the foundation of our family. He is and always will be missed more than we can express.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Molly Janet Bush Kednocker; a son, Scotty Holly (Melissa) Kednocker of Little Mountain; daughters, Tammy Kednocker of Clinton, Dr. Melony Covington of Huntersville, NC, Christy (Jared) Kednocker Sustakovitch of Greenville, Amy (Stobo) Kednocker Van Horne of Gilbert and Terry (Matthew) Kednocker Bentley of Davidson, NC. Mr. Kednocker's grandchildren include David and Emily Covington, Luke and Lily Anne Sustakovitch, Emma, Julia and Kate Van Horne, Ethan, Caroline and Joel Bentley and Eli and Eva Kednocker with his expected thirteenth grandchild due next month, Anna Mae.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 3:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home located at 1724 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108. The family will receive friends immediately before the funeral service between 1:45 pm and 2:45 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, Little Mountain, SC. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1741, Greenwood, SC 29648.
