Jack Crawford

Jack Eidson Crawford, 60, of Batesburg, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at his home.

Born on November 21, 1952, in Charleston, he was a son of the late Frank Alexander and Kathryn Eidson Crawford. He was retired from the SC Department of Corrections and was currently serving as a behavioral consultant with the SC Department of Special Needs. Mr. Crawford was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Prosperity, SC where he was a Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the Pomaria Masonic Lodge 151 AFM and was currently serving Saluda County as a representative on the Board for the Beckman Center.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Thrower Crawford; son, Jacob Alexander (Makenzie) Crawford of Charlottesville, VA and Joshua Seth (Jenn Wiley) Crawford of Atlanta, GA; a daughter Jennifer Crawford (Kevin) Roberson of James Island; a sister, Patti Crawford Combs of Irmo; a brother, Francis Allen (Jan) Crawford of Charleston; grandchildren, Crawford Drake Roberson and Lila Knight Roberson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. David Taylor. The family will be at his residence where they will receive friends and they will also receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
