Jackie H. Franklin

Jacqueline Hamm Franklin, 70, of Prosperity, died Saturday, November 26, 2011, at her residence.

Born on October 12, 1941, in Prosperity, she was the daughter of the late J.D. and Brunelle Bowers Hamm. Mrs. Franklin was retired from McKechnie Vehicle Components and was a member of Zion United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Al “Penny” Franklin; sons, Mike Franklin and Dave (Dovie) Franklin both of Prosperity; a daughter, Tonia (Brian) Gibson of Saluda; a brother, James Robert “Bo” (Judy) Hamm of Prosperity; grandchildren, Brandon Michael Franklin, Timothy William Franklin, Brianna Leigh Gibson, Allie Layne Gibson and Gunnar Jeffrey Franklin.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at Zion United Methodist Church by the Rev. Lowry Drennen, Rev. Jimmy Counts and Rev. Paul Rowe. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Zion United Methodist Church Improvement Fund or Cemetery Fund, 80 Zion Circle, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to the charity of one’s choice.
