James Edmon Freeman, 67, of Chappells passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at Self Regional Hospital.
Born on August 19, 1945, in Lexington County, he was a son of the late James P. and Ethel Louise Chaney Freeman. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff of the Lexington County Sheriff's Office and graduate of the 134 session of the FBI National Academy. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Kay Dominick Freeman; sons, James Travis Freeman (Amelia S. Freeman), William Robin Freeman (Shasta L. Freeman); sisters, Mary Katherine Gantt and Betty Jo Winn (John Winn III); brothers, Andrew P. Freeman (Judy Freeman) and Richard Earl Freeman; a grandson, James Ethan Freeman and a granddaughter, Lessie Kay Freeman.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 5, 2012, at Chappells Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service in the church. Memorials may be made to Chappells Baptist Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 6026, Chappells, SC 29037.
