James Howard Shealy

James Howard Shealy, 78, of Prosperity, died Sunday, December 17, 2017, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.

Born on August 18, 1939, in Newberry, he was the son of the late Jessie Gordon and Rosa Lee Boozer Shealy. He was an Air Force veteran and was retired from UPS.

He is survived by sons, David G. Shealy of Newberry, Donnie H. (Yvonne) Shealy of Leesville, Darin S. (Beverly) Shealy of Prosperity and David P. (Sherrey) Shealy of Newberry; daughters, Debra L. (Louis) Trinadad of Newberry and Rhonda F. (Erik) Gardner of Goose Creek; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:30 – 1:30 pm at the funeral home.
