A service of celebration and thanksgiving for the life of Janie Koon Stuck will be held Sunday, April 5, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Pomaria, S.C. by the Rev. W. Osborne Herlong, Jr.
Mrs. Stuck, 94, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on April 3, 2009, in Newberry. Born in 1914, she was the daughter of Willie and Mattie Koon and had two brothers, Wilson and Rembert Koon. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Mr. Bunnie Mae Stuck. Mrs. Janie was truly devoted to her family, her church and her Lord. During her young years “Muz” enjoyed gardening, farming and serving as Sunday school teacher and church organist for many years.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, I’on and Annie Rose Stuck of Little Mountain and granddaughter, Karen Stuck (David) Hamill of Florence.
The family will receive friends at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 622 Hope Station Road, Pomaria, SC 29126.
