Jeanette Connelly Minick, 84, of Newberry, widow of Billy P. Minick, died Thursday, September 1, 2011, at White Oak Manor.
Born on August 1, 1927, in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late J. B. and Pearl Bouknight Connelly. She and her husband were the owner’s of Giant Burger Drive-In. She was a member of O’Neal Street United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir, Mae Hendrix Circle and the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by daughters, Mrs. Dean (Cynthia) Bedenbaugh of Prosperity and Mrs. Rick (Kaye) Bedenbaugh of Newberry; a sister, Ruby P. Herrin of Newberry; grandchildren, Alan McCollum, Daree Dominick, Brandi Bedenbaugh, Wendi Bedenbaugh Koon and R. Paul Bedenbaugh II; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Taylor McCollum, Tyler Kestler, Ryan Koon and Taylyn Rosenberg; a special adopted granddaughter, Jennifer Longshore. Mrs. Minick was predeceased by brothers, Ralph Connelly of Columbia and Lawrence Connelly of Aiken.
Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, September 4, 2011, at O’Neal Street United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Goldie. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rick Bedenbaugh, 2114 Walton Way, Newberry and will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 – 6:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
