Jerry Eugene Moore, a craftsman and resident of Newberry SC, died unexpectedly on Thursday January 26, 2017 at the age of 55 while at home.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra Hyman Moore; his children, Kenny Moore of Newberry SC, Joshua Moore of Gaston SC and Chris Moore of Johnson City TN; Three Granddaughters and one Grandson. He is predeceased by his Mother, Betty Johnson Moates; his grandmother, Hattie Black Blackwood; and his grandfather, Zeb Blackwood.

Jerry was born in Hendersonville, NC on March 15, 1961. He worked in construction for twenty-two years. On May 10, 1980, he married Sandra Hyman, his sweetheart. On May 29, 1981, Sept. 27, 1982 and Nov. 19, 1984 respectively, he welcomed his three Sons, who were one of the most important parts of his life.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends; fishing, grilling or just enjoying football or nascar on television. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

A memorial service is scheduled for 4 :00 p.m. on Sunday January 29, 2017 at Freedom Baptist Church on 2028 Mt. Bethel Garmany Rd. Reverend Eddie Bledsoe will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at 802 James St. Newberry, SC 29108 .
