Jesse "Bud" Bedenbaugh

Jesse Carroll “Bud” Bedenbaugh, Jr., 68, of Pomaria, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at Palmetto Health Richland.

Born on January 23, 1942, in Silvestreet, he was a son of the late Jesse C. Bedenbaugh, Sr. and Clara Dickert Bedenbaugh. Mr. Bedenbaugh was a 1961 graduate of Newberry High School and a United States Air Force veteran. He was retired from Bell South and was a member of Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church where he was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Men’s Club.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Eva Doolittle Bedenbaugh; a son, Jason Carroll (Renee) Bedenbaugh of Greer; a daughter, Renee Rae Bedenbaugh (Chris) Routon of Pomaria; sisters, Nell (Edward) Lominack, Rachel (Johnnie) Dickert, Doris (Jimmie) Coggins all of Newberry and Jackie (Neel) Boozer of Silverstreet; grandchildren, Logan and Leah Bedenbaugh of Greer; mother-in-law, Ola Mae Doolittle of Pomaria and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Bedenbaugh was predeceased by brothers, John Grady Bedenbaugh and Garrett Bedenbaugh.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 16, 2010, at Mt. Pleasant United Methodist Church by the Rev. Marian Dyer and Rev. George Riser. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Greenville Shriner’s Hospital, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605 or to Mt.
