Jessie Ward

Jessie Lewis Ward, Jr., 70, of Pomaria, died Monday, December 12, 2011, at his residence.

Born on April 16, 1941, he was born in Seneca, a son of the late Jessie Lewis Ward, Sr. and Nettie Jane Ladd Ward. He was a self-employed contractor and a member of Open Bible Church.

Mr. Ward is survived by his wife, Margie Turner Ward; daughters, Sara Jane Graham, Marie Hendrix and Diane Lathrop; sisters, Mae Ledford, Cerenda Simmons and Ann Simpson; brothers, Wallace Ward, Joe Ward, Allen Ward, Glenn Ward, Lalon Ward and George Ward; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 16, 2011, at Wightman United Methodist Church by the Rev. Michael Turner. Memorials may be applied to funeral expenses at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home, 1724 Main Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
