Joan Best Dubovsky, 80, formerly of Greenville, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 13, 2012, at J.F. Hawkins Nursing Home.
Born on November 18, 1931, in Washington, DC, she was a daughter of the late Armond Bergman and Phoebe Crandall Best. Mrs. Dubovsky was retired from the Greenville School District and was a member of the National Educators Association.
She is survived by sons, Jim Dubovsky of Florence and Andy (Margie) Dubovsky of Pomaria; her twin sister, Jackie Turner of Doswell, VA; a brother, Bob Best of Richmond, VA; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Dubovsky of Simpsonville; grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Kimbrel, Johnathan (Jessica) Dubovsky, Daniel Dubovsky and Anna Dubovsky; step-grandchildren, Sean Teaster and Kristi Finley; great-grandchildren, Austin Causey, Caleb and Emma Kimbrel, Leila, Matthew and Michael Dubovsky; step-great-grandchildren, Kayla and Joshua Finley. She was predeceased by a son, Mike Dubovsky.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, April 15, 2012, at First Baptist Church, Prosperity. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to Greenville Middle School.
