Joann Thompson

Joann Alene Morris Thompson, 84, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at White Oak Manor.

Born on May 30, 1932, in Alto, GA, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd C. and Violet Herrin Morris. She was retired from Cryovac in Duncan, SC. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Macedonia Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Goldies, Vacation Bible School and the Fellowship Circle. She was a member of the Little Mountain Eastern Star.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry R. Thompson; daughters, Connie T. (Jorge) Cabrera of Duncan and Cindy (Joe) Price of Wellford; grandchildren, Ashley Price (Matt) Bishop, Alicia Price (Jason) Kamlet and Hope Cabrera; great-grandchildren, Luke and Landon Bishop and Connor and Ellison Kamlet and his canine companion, Jenny.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 10, 2017, at Macedonia Lutheran Church by the Rev. Randall Derrick. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church Family Life Center Fund, 49 Macedonia Church Road, Prosperity, SC 29127.
