John E. Roberts

John Edward Roberts, 31, of Whitten Center, Clinton, died Saturday, September 13, 2014, at Hospice House of Laurens County.

He was born on April 15, 1983 to Roy and Kathleen Tanner Roberts. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

He is survived in addition to his parents of Newberry by brothers, Jeffery Dean (Wendy) Robert of Newberry and Bradley Scott (Leah) Roberts of Oakland, CA; nieces and nephews, Adam Roberts, Savannah Roberts, Ian Roberts, Zandra Shafer and Keely Bruns. John was predeceased by a brother, Chad Forrest Roberts.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Brooker-Blakely All Faith Chapel on the campus of Whitten Center by Bishop Robert Taylor. Burial will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Monday from 6:00- 8:00 pm at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Whitten Center Parents' Club, c/o Marlene Woods, 304 Dixon Street, Clinton, SC 29325 or to Hospice of Laurens County, PO Box 178, Clinton, SC 29325.

Active pallbearers will be Jeffery Roberts, Terrel Aultman, Phillip Baker, Paul Major, Rodolfo Torres and Mark Hawkins.
