John "Ollie" Sease

John Oliver “Ollie” Sease, 81, of Prosperity, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011.

Born on October 11, 1929, in Prosperity, he was a son of the late Ben I. and Cora Lee Cook Sease. Mr. Sease was retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years. He was a member of Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church, the American Legion and AARP.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Metts Sease; a son, John Harold Sease of Prosperity; a daughter, Sallie S. Taylor of Prosperity; a brother, Bennie Lee Sease of Chapin; a granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Taylor; a close friend, Joe Franklin of Prosperity and nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church by the Rev. Floyd Sides and the Rev. James Shealy. Burial with military honors will follow in Newberry Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Bachman Chapel Lutheran Church, 3074 Bachman Chapel Road, Prosperity, SC 29127 or to Tri County Hospice, 13795 C. R. Koon Highway, Newberry, SC 29108.
