John Price

John David Price, 72, of Pomaria, died Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at his residence.

Born on March 2, 1938, in Lexington, he was a son of Sudelle Shealy Wise and the late Harry Wise. Mr. Price was an Army veteran and was retired from SCANA. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and was a Boy Scout Master for over 10 years and a softball coach.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Kingsmore Price; a son, Kevin (Doris) Price of Pomaria; a daughter, Gina (Russell) Berry of Pomaria and his mother; grandchildren, Lauren Price, Cody Price, Wesley Blackburn, Noah Blackburn, Jonathan Harmon and Kacey Freeman.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2011, at St. Paul Lutheran Church by the Rev. Brent Nichols. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at McSwain-Evans Funeral Home.
