John D. “Trader John” Carbosco, 88, of Newberry, widower of Elizabeth Franklin Carbosco, died Monday, September 8, 2014 at Hospice of Laurens County Hospice House.
Born on October 11, 1925, in Columbia, he was a son of the late John D. Carbosco and Ruth Banks Gilstrap. He was an Army veteran of WWII and was the retired owner of Trader John's Antiques. He was a member of the American Legion Post 24 and was a former member of the Newberry Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be conducted at 12:00 Noon on Monday, September 15, 2014, in Newberry Memorial Gardens by Rev. Thomas Daum. Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
