Johnny Samuel Counts, 66, of Prosperity, widower of Elizabeth "Libby" Brown Counts, died on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Providence Hospital.

Born on October 28, 1954 in Newberry, he was a son of the late George Elbert Counts, Jr. and Nora Richardson Counts. He was employed by Love Chevrolet and worked in the service department for many years.He was a member of the Prosperity Masonic Lodge 115, and was a Shriner. Johnny loved his family and enjoyed spending time riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his daughter, Candice Counts (Josh Kingsmore); a sister, Tracy Douglas; granddaughters, Reese and Layla; a special friend, Evelyn Love; and special cousins, Jimmy and Robin Richardson.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 19, 2021 at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Jim Williams. Masonic rites will be held at the conclusion of the service. The family will receive friends following the service.
