Joyce Duvall

Peggy Joyce Fields Duvall, 73, of Newberry, died Sunday, November 20, 2011, at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.

Born on August 11, 1938, in Honea Path, she was a daughter of the late Barnell and Rachel Simpson Fields. She was employed with the Newberry County Council on Aging and a member of College Street Baptist Church.

Mrs. Duvall is survived by her husband, Lee Duvall; daughters, Rita Duvall Poeppel of Plymouth, IN and Dollie Duvall Williamson of Waterloo; a brother, Harold Dean Fields of Honea Path; and grandchildren, Crystal Duvall Massey, Brooke Poeppel and Josi Aull. She was predeceased by sons, Randall Lee Duvall and Curtis Duvall, a daughter, Terry Duvall, a sister, Judy Dutton, and brothers, Richard Fields, Jerry Fields, and Charles Fields.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2011, at College Street Baptist Church by the Rev. Ken Ferrell. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church fellowship hall. Memorials may be made to College Street Baptist Church, 3240 College Street, Newberry, SC 29108.
